Central American Meeting on Comprehensive Risk Management and Adaptation to Climate Change

On December 14, 2011, Dr. Richard Olson was invited to participate in the Encuentro Centroamericano de Gestión Integral de Riesgo y Adaptación al Cambio Climático in San Salvador, El Salvador. This meeting was part of the Central American Presidential Summit. Dr. Olson presented a session on political economy, disaster impacts, and projections in Central America. The presentation was well received, generating numerous conversations and subsequent emails on the relationship between politics and risk management.
